Adjunct Ensemble is a project led by composer and electronic musician Jamie Thompson.

In Sovereign Bodies / Ritual Taxonomy, Taupe are featured amoung a stellar cast of musicians including turntablist Mariam Rezaei, poet Felicia Olusanya (aka Felispeaks), pianist Elliot Galvin and bassist John Pope. The album is an ambitious, long-form electroacoustic assemblage, which excites fleeting comparisons – the radical jazz of the late 1960s, the hip-hop abstractions of cLOUDDEAD, the starkly meaningful sound nebulae of The Caretaker, Scott Walker when in extremis, as well as cinematic evocations.
